Foundation Nail Courses
Foundation Courses are designed to provide a platform upon which the amateur can develop their skills. The course is carefully constructed to give you the right mix of both practical skills and knowledge which will enable you to progress in your career as a nail professional. The course is split into sessions with a practical and written assessment.
The courses covers different areas such as health and safety, nail anatomy, nail diseases/disorders, tip application, product application, filing and finishing techniques, maintenance procedures, removal and salon know how.
We now offer beginners courses at 4 levels:
Beginners foundation: 24 hours (4 days) this is the basic beginners course just covering acrylic application including cover pink, French and reverse application. £550 inc kit (deposit £150)
Beginners intermediate: 30 hours (5 days) this will include gel polish application in French and colour, removal and basic gel polish art. £700 inc kit (deposit £250)
Beginners advanced: 36 hours (6 days) this course will include a hard gel conversion course allowing you to offer both enhancement systems to your clients. £850 inc kit (lamps not included) (deposit £350)
Beginners ultimate: 42 hours (7 days) speed your service up with electric filing and offer your clients some salon speed designs with gel polish, and acrylic. £1000 inc kit (electric files not included) (deposit £400)
No experience is necessary to take the foundation course as it is designed for total beginners to get you started in the nail industry and will give you the base knowledge required. Once you have qualified, have some salon experience and are confident enough with your technique you can progress your skills further with a workshop in acrylic or gel design, different forms of nail art or add beauty services to your list of treatments.
Day 1-4 beginners acrylic foundation course
Day 1 – 10.00-4.00 – 8th January (model needed)
Day 2 – 10.00-4.00 – 15th January (model needed)
Day 3 – 10.00-4.00 – 29th January (model needed)
Day 4 – 10.00-finish – 5th February (exam model needed)
Day 5 – gel polish and art – 10.00-4.00 – 12th February (model needed 10am-1pm)
Day 6 – hard gel conversion – 10.00-4.00 – 26th February (model needed)
Day 7 – electric filing – 10.00-12.00
Salon speed nail art – 12.30-4.30
4th march (model needed 10am-12pm)
deposit/admin fee to secure your place. This is none refundable or transferable.
The balance must be paid by 2 weeks before the start date. But can be paid in instalments up to that date.
If a cancellation is made after the two week cut off period, you loose full payment. it is none refundable or transferable. by booking onto the course and paying the fees you agree to these terms and conditions.
